Home branch change process

The rules for changing bank branch are different from bank to bank. If you are a customer of State Bank of India or PNB and want to change the home branch of your bank account, then you can do this work sitting at home. For this it is necessary that your internet banking is working. If this is not the case, then you must first register for Internet Banking.

Process to change bank branch in SBI

  • First of all go to the website of www.onlinesbi.com.
  • If you use Internet Banking, login by going to Personal Banking option.
  • If you have not already registered, then register your ID first.
  • Now click on the option of ‘e-Services’.
  • Next, go to Transfer of Savings Account.
  • If there is an account in SBI, the account to be transferred will be selected automatically.
  • Now enter the branch code of the branch where you want to transfer the account.
  • Then select Get Branch Name option and select New Branch.
  • Now by entering the name of the new branch, submit it.
  • Once submitted, your bank branch change request will also be registered.

Process to change bank branch in PNB

  • In this you login through Retail Internet Banking
  • After this click on the option of other services and select the option of Change Home Branch
  • Now select the branch ID to which the account is to be transferred
  • Proceed after entering the branch ID, and enter the transaction password.
  • After the whole process your request will be registered.
