Tejas Express (Tejas Train), the country’s first private train operated by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), will run again on February 14 on the New Delhi-Lucknow route.
New Delhi / Lucknow Due to the corona virus epidemic, the Indian Railways had stopped many trains, including the Tejas Express. Now Tejas Express (Tejas Train), the country’s first private train operated by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), will run again on February 14 on the New Delhi-Lucknow route. However, during this time the corona protocol has to be strictly followed.
Actually, there was increasing demand to restart Tejas Express, the country’s first private train. For this reason, the Railway Ministry has planned to operate it again and has approved its new time table. IRCTC said that the trains are being resumed after getting approval from the Ministry of Railways with the new schedule. Whereas, tickets will be booked for all seats for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday for four days in this train.
IRCTC sources informed that the fare will be so much that the fare from Lucknow to New Delhi will be Rs 870 and from Kanpur to New Delhi will be Rs 780. After that the dynamic rule will be applicable but that too will be only 30 percent more than the base fare. Apart from this, every passenger will have life insurance of Rs 25 lakh. At the same time if there is theft during the journey, then there will be security insurance of up to one lakh. Whereas in Tejas, advance booking of tickets will be done thirty days in advance. According to IRCTC, each Tejas Express train has a seating capacity of more than 700 passengers.
Have to follow the corona protocol
In view of Kovid-19, traveling on Tejas will have to strictly follow the protocol. The Kovid-19 safety kit will carry a bottle of hand sanitizer, a mask and a pair of gloves.
