This gateway is live. This will save the time it takes for the ticket buyers to pay at the payment gateway of a bank for booking. As soon as a passenger cancels his ticket, his refund will be immediately in his account.
Under IRCTC iPay, a new feature of instant refund has been introduced to those using the IRCTC website-mobile app.
In this facility, a user has to give mandate only once for debit from his UPI bank account or other means of payment. Then that payment instrument will be authorized for further transactions.
IRCTC says that having autopay facility will ensure high reliability of ticket booking. Because, this payment instrument reduces the user’s time in the device details. This facility is also meant to reduce the refund time for instant booking.
