What is Airbag?
Airbags given in cars are made of nylon fabric. Which is fitted in different places in the cars according to the need and protects you in the event of an accident. According to the Times of India report, many older models of cars do not have airbags for the front passenger. The government has made airbags mandatory for front seat passengers for safety. Under Automative Industry Standard (AIS) 145, the specification will be given by Bureau of India Standards (BIS).

Airbags in cars are connected with sensors. In the event of a collision, by filling the air in the airbag, it comes like a cushion between the driver, the passenger and the car. Due to which the body of the driver and passenger does not collide with the body of the car and they do not get serious injury.

How much do you get airbags
At present, many manufacturers are offering the facility of passenger airbags as an option by charging some charges. Most manufacturers charge an additional charge of around Rs 5,000 for passenger airbags.
