Big update for the customers of Post Office PPF, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Small Savings Scheme, now this special service will be available

e-Passbook facility for PPF, Sukanya Samridhi: The customers of the Post Office Small Savings Account can now view their passbook anytime, anywhere. They do not need netbanking or mobile banking for this. According to the notification of the Department of Posts, the department has decided to start the e-passbook facility. This new facility has started from 12 October. This facility will be available free of cost to the customers of the Post Office Small Savings Account.

The account holders will have to use the registered mobile number to access the e-passbook facility. The postal department said that this service will be available free of cost. With the introduction of this facility, post office small savings customers can access account details anytime without the need for net banking or mobile banking access. Account holders can use the e-passbook service through the registered mobile number.

These facilities will be available under e-passbook

Balance information: By using this option, customers can know the balance of their account.

Mini Statement: Mini statement will be available initially for PO Savings Accounts (POSA), Sukanya Samriddhi Accounts (SSA) and Public Provident Fund Accounts (PPF). Then later it will be made available to others as well.

Full statement: Full statement will start coming gradually.

How to know PPF, Sukanya Samridhi account balance

  • Click on the e-passbook link given on www.indiapost.gov.in or www.ippbonline.com.
  • Enter Mobile Number and Captcha> Login> Enter OTP> Submit
  • Select e-Passbook
  • Select the type of plan, enter the account number, register mobile number and captcha> Continue> Enter OTP> Verify and then choose from the given options.

Balance or mini statement information will be available depending on the service chosen by the customer. Mini statement and full statement can also be downloaded if required. If the mobile number entered is not linked with the account, the system will show a default message. In such cases, account holders will have to visit the post office to link their mobile numbers with their accounts.
