According to the media report, the budget given by the government in the year 2020-21 has not been spent by the Ministry of Agriculture yet.
New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has presented the budget of 2021-22 on 1 February. This time several big announcements have been made in the budget. Under this, the ‘PM Kisan Samman Nidhi’ has also announced a cut in the budget. Earlier farmers were hoping that the amount of ‘PM Kisan Samman Nidhi’ could increase. In such a situation, the question is arising whether the installment given to the farmers will be cut?
According to the media report, the budget given by the government in the year 2020-21 has not yet been spent by the Ministry of Agriculture, due to which the government has cut the fund this time. In such a situation, there will be no cut in the installment given to the farmers.
In the
fiscal year 2020-21, 75,000 crore rupees were given under ‘PM Kisan Samman Nidhi’ , the reason behind the cut . 65,000 crore has been given for this scheme in fiscal year 2021-22. But only 65,000 crore was spent by the Ministry of Agriculture in the current fiscal year. Therefore, the budget amount has been cut.

What is the scheme?
To benefit the farmers, the ‘PM Kisan Samman Nidhi’ scheme has been launched by the Central Government. Under this, farmers are given 6 thousand rupees in a year. However, this amount is given to them in three installments. A total of 11.5 crore farmers have been registered under this scheme so far. This money is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the farmers.
