Five people of a family committed mass suicide in Supaul, Bihar. According to the information received, the family was troubled by the financial crisis for a long time.
A case of mass suicide of 5 people belonging to the same family has been reported in Supaul, Bihar. The family, who lived in Raghopur, Supaul, are said to be saddled with financial constraints, although the police have not officially said anything and the investigation of the whole case is going on. The parents present in the family committed suicide by hanging three children late on Friday night. The police is currently investigating the case and a team of forensics has also been called on the spot.
Police said that the husband, wife, two daughters and a son living in Gaddi Ward-12 of Raghopur police station area have been found hanging in the same room. In the deceased family, the father’s name is being told as Mishrilal Sah. The entire family was last seen on Saturday. Since then, the people of the neighborhood had not seen the family members coming out. Neighbors informed the police about the matter after suspicion late on Friday evening. When the door was opened, the whole family was found hanging inside.
The reason for suicide is not yet clear
SP Manoj Kumar of Raghopur also reached the spot and took information about the whole case. He told that the reason for the suicide is not clear yet and the FSL team is also being investigated. People from the neighborhood have told that the financial condition of the family was very bad and were living by selling their land for the last two years. The family carried on the business of selling coal which was closed in lockdown. The family also stopped meeting people from the neighborhood. The dead include Misri Lal Sah, his wife Renu Devi, and their two minor daughters and a son.
