Bihar: Three people were crushed and killed by a wild elephant in Babhanauli village of Nawada. On the other hand, a ten-year-old boy from Sitamarhi police station area is also slapped and killed. In this way, a total of four people have died due to elephants. There is also a retired teacher among the dead. His name is being told as Anand Singh. He was a resident of Sakra village in Thana area. The other deceased has been identified as Vinod Chauhan. The third is 60-year-old Baleshwar Prasad. The fourth deceased is identified as Chotu Kumar, the ten-year-old son of Inder Mallick, a resident of Lachhubigha in Sitamarhi. Two incidents occurred on Wednesday night, while the third and fourth occurred on Thursday. The villagers remain frightened by the wild elephant living in the village. Police administration has been informed. People are not leaving their homes because of elephant terror.
Nawada came astray from Jharkhand
It is said that this elephant has wandered from the forested area of Jharkhand to Nawada. The team of the forest department has deployed bombs and firecrackers to keep the elephant away from the population. The team has left from Pakur in Jharkhand to rescue the elephant back into the forest. This team will reach by late evening. The team has been instructed by the Department of Environment, Climate and Change to return the elephant to the forest again. Elephants can be truncated under special circumstances.
Three different areas created trouble
In two different police station area of Nawada district, a mad elephant created a fierce situation. Crazy elephant has killed two people. The dead include Vinod Chauhan, resident of Babhnauli village of Nardiganj police station area and retired teacher Anand Singh, resident of Sakra village in Hisua police station area. It is said that Vinod went towards the farm last night. Suddenly, the elephant reached there and picked them up and threw them. After this, crushed under the feet. Due to this both people died on the spot. After this, the elephant reached Sakra village. The retired teachers were going towards the farm for defecation. Elephants also crushed them. He also died as a result.
The third incident happened on Thursday morning
Baleshwar Yadav, a resident of Hasanchak village of Rasalpura panchayat under Meskaur block, was crushed to death by a wild elephant on Thursday morning. He separated both his legs from the body. Right now the elephant is in the forest between Rasalpura and Sitamarhi. Panic spread in the area after the incident. People are scared. Information has been given to police-administration officials as well as the forest department.
Ranger Sanjay Kumar told that the elephant has come from Gaya. The first elephant created an uproar in the Sirdala Block area. Then Hisua, Arrived towards Nardiganj. Two deaths have been reported. Post mortem of dead bodies will be done. Compensation will be given to the relatives of the deceased as per departmental rules. The team is being called from Gaya to catch the elephant. People are being advised to stay alert by announcing the surrounding villages. All kinds of rules are being made to protect people. The Forest Department team got involved in this task. Nawada’s DFO Awadhesh Kumar Ojha told that a team of forest workers from Nawada and Gaya are engaged to control the elephant. Quick response team has also been called from Patna. Elephants entered Sirdala in Nawada district from Gurpa area of Gaya district yesterday. The team of Nawada and Gaya Forest Department was constantly monitoring him. Nardiganj, away from Sirdala at night and reached the rural area of Hisua area. He said that the effort is on, the elephant will be controlled soon.
