Biporjoy Cyclone Update: Biporjoy storm rang alarm bell, red alert issued; PM Modi took command

Growing threat

As the cyclonic storm ‘Biparjoy’ is progressing in the Arabian Sea, the danger is also increasing. The biggest threat from the storm is hovering over Gujarat as Biparjoy’s north will hit the coastal areas of Gujarat.

However, there is still 72 hours for the storm to hit. But the conditions before the storm are indicating great danger, although the way India has defeated the great storms that have come in the last few years. In the same way preparations are on to defeat Biperjoy.

The Meteorological Department said this

Director General of the Meteorological Department, Mrityunjay Mohapatra said, Cyclone Biparjoy is slowly moving in the north direction at a speed of 5 km per hour and will change its direction after June 14. By the afternoon of June 15, a very severe cyclonic storm with a speed of 125-135 km/h will hit the coast of Saurashtra, Kutch and Pakistan. There will be heavy rains in Saurashtra, Kutch on June 14-15.

Cyclone Biparjoy has been declared by the Meteorological Department as a very dangerous category storm. Biparjoy is still away from the coast, but the effect of this storm is visible on the seashore. Currently Biparjoy storm is 320 km away from Porbandar in Gujarat and its distance from Dwarka in Gujarat is 360 km. Cyclonic storm Biparjoy is moving at a speed of 9 kilometers per hour. As it progresses, its form is becoming dangerous and its effect is also visible on the sea coast.

The effect is also visible in Mumbai

Biparjoy is passing about 500 kilometers away from Mumbai, yet its effect is visible in Mumbai. Strong winds are blowing in the coastal areas of Mumbai… High waves are rising in the sea.

The Gateway of India in Mumbai is buzzing with tourists. There, 5 to 6 feet high waves are hitting the shore, fearing a storm, tourists have been stopped from going to the seashore. People are being told to stay away from the sea, yet people risking their lives have reached the seashore. The crowd of people is also less on Marine Drive in Mumbai. When the movement in the sea increased, people were asked to stay away from the sea.

Due to the storm in Mumbai, it rained on Sunday and Monday morning as well. According to the Meteorological Department, it will rain in the coastal areas of Mumbai and Maharashtra for the next 48 hours. Although Biparjoy is responsible for the rains in Mumbai, Gujarat is at risk from Biparjoy.

The storm will also hit Karachi

This storm will also hit Pakistan’s Karachi. This means that this storm can cause great harm to both India and Pakistan. According to the Meteorological Department, on June 15, this storm will hit the coast of India-Pakistan.

At the same time, humidity has increased in Rajasthan’s Jaipur with thunderstorms. Even today, an alert has been issued for thunderstorms. The effect of Biparjoy storm will be visible on June 16-17. Thunderstorm warnings have been issued in most of the districts including Jodhpur, Udaipur divisions of the state.

Biperjoy’s speed may be scary but everyone needs to be careful in these challenging conditions. So that it should be faced firmly and the loss should be avoided as much as possible.
