After which you can get your birth and death certificate on your mobile sitting in any corner of the world.

‘WhatsApp Governance Services’

The Andhra Pradesh government will soon provide birth and death certificates through WhatsApp under its ‘WhatsApp Governance Services’, said Chief Secretary K Vijayanand, who announced this on Monday (January 20). He said that a pilot project for this service will be conducted in Tenali later this month to explore the process.

Birth and death certificates through WhatsApp

Vijayanand said in a media interaction, “The state government will soon provide WhatsApp governance services to the people in line with the objectives of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Under this, people will soon be able to get birth and death certificates through WhatsApp.” A review meeting on the process was held at the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) office with officials from various departments on Monday. Vijayanand stressed that the Chief Minister aims to make government services more accessible and convenient by introducing WhatsApp governance. He has urged the officials of RTGS and related departments to expedite the process. He has also directed the Panchayati Raj, Health and Municipal Administration departments to extend full cooperation to the RTGS officials for the successful implementation of this initiative.

One has to make rounds for birth and death certificates

Usually when someone needs to get a birth certificate for their children or a death certificate in case of death of someone in the family, they have to apply in the municipal corporation of their own district. After investigation, the certificate is also issued from there. Not only this, applicants have to make several rounds of the municipal corporation. Many times bribes are also demanded from people. In such a situation, the state government is using new technology for the convenience of the people.
