Lotus has blossomed in Amethi, which has been a stronghold of Congress. Rajesh Agrahari, who came in the election of District Panchayat President on BJP ticket, has been victorious. Rajesh Agrahari got 31 votes out of 36. The SP candidate had to be satisfied with just four votes.
Voting took place today to elect the District Panchayat President in UP. After which the counting of votes is going on now. However, in many places the results of the voting for the District Panchayat President have also started coming. In Lucknow, UP, Aarti Rawat of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) got 14 votes and she was victorious. While Nishi Yadav of Samajwadi Party (SP) came second with 12 votes. Bahubali Dhananjay Singh’s wife Srikala Reddy has been victorious in Jaunpur.
Srikala Reddy got 43 votes. Independent candidate Neelam Singh, who rebelled against the BJP, stood second by getting 28 votes. Nishi Yadav of SP got 12 votes and had to be satisfied with the third position. Similarly, BJP-backed Independent candidate Monika Yadav has won from Farrukhabad. BJP’s Seema Upadhyay from Hathras and Archana Bhadauria of BJP won from Mainpuri, the stronghold of Mulayam Singh Yadav.
RLD won in Baghpat
Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) candidate has won in Baghpat. BJP candidate Om Prakash Bhargava has won from Lakhimpur Kheri. Similarly, in Sonbhadra, BJP’s alliance partner Radhika Patel of Apna Dal has got Vijayshree. The BJP candidate has also won in Aligarh. BJP’s Sheetal Singh has been victorious in Siddharthnagar. SP’s Rekha Yadav registered victory in Etah.

In Prayagraj, for the post of District Panchayat President, BJP candidate Dr VK Singh defeated Malti Yadav of SP by a margin of 18 votes in a straight contest. Dr. Singh got 51 votes and Malti Yadav got 33 votes.
