Book Delhi Metro ticket on WhatsApp, this way you will get relief from long queues

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has now started providing the option to book metro tickets through WhatsApp. In this way, passengers will not need to stand in long queues to buy tokens.

Leave the hassle of standing in long queues for metro tickets and open the popular messaging platform WhatsApp. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has now announced WhatsApp based ticketing system for the users. Now apart from Delhi NCR, metro tickets on all lines up to Gurugram Rapid Metro can be easily booked through WhatsApp.

DMRC has approved Meta and its authorized partner Pelocal Fintech Pvt. Ltd has given users the option to buy metro tickets on WhatsApp. With this new option, passengers can easily buy tickets instantly while sitting at home or in office. The chatbot is available in both Hindi and English languages and covers 288 metro stations across all 12 metro lines.

This is the way to book metro ticket

To travel in Delhi Metro, you will be able to buy tickets on WhatsApp by following the steps given below.

  • First of all you have to send ‘Hi’ to +91 9650855800. You can also open a chat window by scanning the QR codes shown at metro stations.
  • After this you will be asked to select the language of your choice.
  • After tapping on ‘Buy Ticket’ option, source and destination stations have to be entered.
  • You will be able to choose how many tickets you need.
  • After reviewing all the information, payment will have to be made and the payment link will be available.

After paying for the ticket, you will get the QR code based ticket on WhatsApp. However, only a maximum of 6 tickets can be booked at a time. Also, ticket cancellation is not possible. Tickets once booked are valid for the entire day and can be scanned at metro stations to start the journey.
