The government has taken a big step against those who have black money. Income Tax Department has launched a new online facility through which anyone can give information about illegal property, benami property or tax evasion of a person or company abroad. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has said that on its e-filing portal https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in, on Monday, the link ‘giving information about tax evasion or benami property holding’ has been commissioned. ITR deadline will not increase for firm of audit necessary, department clarified

Complaint can be filed without PAN / Aadhaar- Under this facility, a person holding Permanent Account Number (PAN) or Aadhaar Number or a person who does not have PAN or Aadhaar can file a complaint.

In this online facility, under the OTP-based legalization process, any violation of Income Tax Act 1961, Undisclosed Property Law and Benami Transaction Avoidance Act can be filed in three different forms.

Win a reward of 5 crores rupees

After the complaint is registered, the department will give a unique number for each complaint and from that the complainant will be able to see the status of action taken on the complaint made by him on the weblink. In this new facility, any person can also become ‘informer or informer’ and he will also be entitled to reward.




According to the scheme currently in force, there is a provision to award up to Rs 1 crore in the case of benami property and up to Rs 5 crore in case of tax evasion, including keeping black money abroad.
