BSNL followed in the footsteps of Jio, Airtel and Vi, the company discontinued these plans

State-run telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has discontinued prepaid broadband plans after Airtel, Vi and Jio, giving a shock to the customers.

The company announced the closure of all its prepaid broadband services in telecom circles. According to the report, BSNL’s prepaid broadband service was being provided only through Digital Subscriber Line (DSL). However, due to the low prepaid broadband userbase of the company, the prepaid broadband plans have been discontinued in all circles. BSNL has decided to do away with it and shift existing customers to postpaid.




This information has come out in the report of Kerala Telecom. It has been told in the report that BSNL officials have ordered to shift prepaid DSL broadband plans to postpaid in all telecom circles of the country. At the same time, the account balance of prepaid users will be transferred to postpaid. Not only this, prepaid users can migrate to BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) or Bharat Airfiber (BAF) if they want.

Apart from this, it has been told in the report that BSNL has also offered a special discount scheme to shift from prepaid DSL broadband connection. In this, a discount of Rs 600 will be given to those customers who are shifting from prepaid to postpaid.

BSNL’s Rs 99 plan is being discontinued

Recently news came out that after Airtel and Vodafone Idea, now the state-owned telecom company BSNL is also going to discontinue its cheap plan. However, this plan of BSNL is postpaid. According to the news that came out, BSNL is migrating Rs 99 plan postpaid users to Rs 199 plan.




The SMS that BSNL users are getting says, ‘Enjoy unlimited voice calls, 25GB data, 100 SMS per day with the Rs 199 plan. The Rs 99 plan has been discontinued and you are being migrated to the Rs 199 plan with effect from September 1, 2021.
