BSNL has launched a new service for its broadband users. Users will now be able to watch more than 500 HD TV channels for free without a set-top box. Along with this, they will also get free access to more than 20 OTT apps.

BSNL recently launched the country’s first fiber broadband based digital TV service IFTV in Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The government telecom company has now started this service in Punjab as well. For this, BSNL has partnered with Skypro. BSNL broadband internet users will be able to watch more than 500 live TV channels for free. The company claims that all these TV channels will be shown to the users in HD quality. Also, users will get free access to more than 20 OTT apps.

Skypro is an Internet Protocol TV Service (IPTV) service provider, which has partnerships with many internet broadband service providers. BSNL Chief Managing Director Robert Ravi has launched this service for Punjab Telecom Circle. First this service is being offered to 8,000 BSNL Bharat Fiber broadband users of Chandigarh. After this, broadband users of entire Punjab will get the benefit of this service. Not only this, BSNL is going to start this service soon for the viewers of the whole country.

Watch channels without a set-top box

In this streaming service of Skypro, users will be able to watch almost all TV channels of Star, Sony, Zee, Colors for free. Apart from this, access to more than 20 leading OTT platforms like SonyLIV, Zee5, Disney+ Hotstar will also be available. The special thing about this service is that users will be able to avail all live TV channels without any set-top box. Users will have to install Skypro’s app on their smart TV. Users will be able to access these TV channels as soon as they connect to BSNL broadband.

BSNL 4G reaches the country’s first village

BSNL has launched 4G service in the country’s first village Pin Valley, Himachal Pradesh. The Department of Telecommunications has given this information through its X handle. 4G service is also being provided in those areas of the country where there is currently no mobile network. After the launch of 4G service, now the people of Pin Valley village in Himachal Pradesh will be able to easily connect to the whole world through the Internet.
