For the first time in the country, the country’s general budget has become paperless. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the budget speech through the Made in India tab. This is not the first time that there have been many changes in presenting the general budget.
Even before this, the Modi government has made many changes. Earlier budget documents were in a leather briefcase. On the other hand, on 5 July 2019, Nirmala Sitharaman tied the budget documents in red cloth, which is actually a symbol of India’s ledger. Not only this, the Modi government started presenting the General Budget to be presented on the last day of February, on the first day of February. The reason for this is to complete all the budget related processes before the new fiscal year begins on April 1. So that the government starts working on the new fiscal year from April 1 and the budget can be implemented in a better way. Earlier this process took till May-June.
