Budget 2024 Date: The Union Budget for the financial year 2024-25 will be presented in the Lok Sabha on July 23. The budget session of Parliament will be held from July 22 to August 12.

Rijiju said in a post on X, “The Hon’ble President of India, on the recommendation of the Government of India, has approved the proposal to convene both the Houses of Parliament for the Budget Session, 2024 from 22nd July, 2024 to 12th August, 2024.”

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the full budget of the third term of the Modi government. She had presented the interim budget in Parliament on February 1. Sitharaman, who has been appointed as the Union Finance Minister for the second consecutive term, will become the first person to present seven consecutive Union Budgets. She will surpass Morarji Desai who had presented six consecutive budgets.

Let us tell you that after the general elections 2024, a special session of Parliament was held from June 24. New MPs took oath and on June 27, President Draupadi Murmu addressed the joint session of Parliament.

The government is currently evaluating a proposal to increase the tax-deductible limit on interest income from savings accounts to Rs 25,000, ahead of the presentation of Union Budget 2024 by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The suggestion was put forward by banks during a recent meeting with key officials of the Finance Ministry.
