There is a block for engineering work in Bhatni yard of Varanasi division. Due to this many trains have been canceled from 20 July 2023 to 3 August 2023. At the same time, many trains have been short terminated and many short originated. Apart from this, the routes of many trains have been diverted. In such a situation, passengers are advised to check the list once before leaving the house.
Gorakhpur-Varanasi City Express Train
Gorakhpur-Varanasi City Express (15129) scheduled to depart from Gorakhpur on 20th, 24th, 27th, 31st July and 03rd August, 2023, Varanasi City – Gorakhpur scheduled to depart from Varanasi City on 20th, 24th, 27th, 31st July and 03rd August, 2023 Express (15130) will remain cancelled. 05156 Gorakhpur-Chhapra unreserved special train running from Gorakhpur on 20, 24, 27, 31 July and 03 August 2023 will remain cancelled. The Chhapra-Gorakhpur unreserved special train (05155) running from Chhapra on July 20, 24, 27, 31 and August 03, 2023 will remain cancelled.
These trains were short terminated
On July 20, 24, 27, 31 and August 3, 2023, the Banaras-Bhatni (01748) unreserved special train will terminate the journey at Mau instead of Bhatni. The journey of Barhaj Bazar – Bhatni (05150) unreserved special train will be terminated at Salempur on 20th, 24th, 27th & 31st July and 3rd August 2023 with Bhatni. On 20, 24, 27, 31 July and 3 August 2023 from Bhatni, Bhatni-Varanasi (01747) city unreserved special train will run from Mau along with Bhatni. On 20, 24, 27 and 31 July and 3 August 2023 from Bhatni, Bhatni-Barhaj Bazar unreserved special train will be run from Salempur instead of Bhatni.

- The Sitamarhi-Anand Vihar Terminus Express running from Sitamarhi on 20, 24, 27, 31 July and 3 August 2023 will run via the diverted route Chhapra-Ballia-Indara.
- 14006 Anand Vihar Terminus-Sitamarhi Express leaving Anand Vihar Terminus on 19, 23, 26, 30 July 2023 and 2 August will be diverted to run via Indara-Ballia Chhapra.
- The New Delhi-Saharsa Express (12554) running from New Delhi on 19,23,26 and 30 July 2023 will run via the diverted route Gorakhpur Cantt-Kaptanganj-Siwan.
- The Katihar-Amritsar Express (15707) running from Katihar on 19,23, 26,30 July and 2 August 2023 will run via the diverted route Siwan-Kaptanganj-Gorakhpur Cantt.
- The Darbhanga-New Delhi special train (02569) running from Darbhanga on 20, 24, 27, 31 July 2023 and 3 August 2023 will run via the diverted route Mazzaffarpur-Narkatiaganj-Gorakhpur Cantt.
- The Barauni-New Delhi special train running from Barauni on 20, 24, 27 and 31 July 2023 will be diverted to run via Muzaffarpur-Narkatiaganj-Gorakhpur Cantt.
- The 12530 Lucknow Junction-Patliputra Express leaving Lucknow Junction on 24 and 31 July 2023 will run via the diverted route Gorakhpur Cantt-Kaptanganj-Siwan.
