Cancelled Train: This week will be troublesome for the passengers of Haridwar, Saharanpur route. Non-interlocking work will begin from Thursday at Roorkee Railway Station. This will affect the rail operations in the division. Due to the work going on from 27 June to 3 July, trains operating from Haridwar, Yoganagari in the division will be most affected. Railway has cancelled 22 trains including Dehradun-Lucknow Vande Bharat. Eight trains including Vande Bharat will be cancelled for three days, Haridwar-Amritsar Shatabdi for six days. While the operation of Moradabad-Saharanpur MEMU, Saharanpur-Delhi Passenger and Shri Ganga Nagar-Rishikesh Express trains will be cancelled for seven days. 64 trains from Roorkee NI will be affected.

After the loop line in Duganpur, now there are preparations for yard remodeling in Roorkee. NI work in Roorkee is starting from Thursday. Pre-NI will be done for the first four days and NI work for the remaining three days. The effect of the seven-day rail operation improvement will start showing from tomorrow. Railways have decided to cancel three pairs of trains running on the Saharanpur route. Two passenger and one express train will remain canceled from June 27 to July 3. While the wheels of Vande Bharat train will remain stopped from July 1 to 3.

Senior DCM Aditya Gupta said that after Duganpur, NI work will start in Roorkee from Thursday. For this, changes have been made in rail traffic. 22 trains will be canceled due to NI work. Some trains have been canceled for seven days and some for six and three days. While 18 trains will be run by changing the route. The operation of passenger and goods trains in the division will gain momentum. Also, there will be rail connectivity from Moradabad to Delhi via Roorkee and Deoband.

Trains will change route

Moradabad, Meerut City to Saharanpur-Lucknow-Chandigarh Intercity, Gorakhpur-Chandigarh Special, Banmankhi-Amritsar, Shaheed, Dibrugarh-Chandigarh, Amritsar-Lal Kuan, Akal Takht, Ramnagar-Chandigarh, Kolkata-Nangal Dam, Durgiana, Shri Mata Vaishnodevi-Varanasi Special, Varanasi to Bhatinda Special, Guwahati to Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Special, Guwahati to Jammu Tawi Special.

Roorkee will have four platforms, common loop line for Deoband

After NI, the number of platforms in Roorkee will increase. As soon as the non-interlocking work is completed in Roorkee on the Saharanpur railway route, the operation of trains will improve. Roorkee currently has three platforms. But after NI, the fourth platform will be built. Along with this, a common loop line will also be ready for connectivity. There will be operations for Deoband on one line. Connectivity will become easier by connecting Roorkee to Deoband. It will be easy to travel from Deoband to Ghaziabad, Delhi via Muzaffarnagar. The railway believes that at present Nauchandi Express operates from Moradabad to Saharanpur via Hapur, Meerut for Deoband, but after connecting Roorkee to Deoband, trains will be able to run on this route in the coming time.
