CBSE Board Exam 2024: From this year many big changes are taking place in CBSE Board 10th, 12th Board Exam. Not only in the board exam pattern, from this year onwards CBSE will neither declare the toppers of the board exam nor make public the division and percentile of the students.

New Delhi: CBSE Class 10th, 12th Board Exam Pattern 2024: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to conduct CBSE 10th and 12th board exams. CBSE board examinations are starting from Thursday, 15 February. Students preparing for these exams have only two days left to prepare for the finals. In these two days, students should revise the concepts of the subjects and practice previous year question papers and sample papers. At the same time, it is important for the students going to appear for the CBSE board exam to have knowledge of the CBSE board exam rules and exam pattern. From this year CBSE has made many changes in its examination pattern. These changes have been made in the type of questions i.e. objective and subjective level. Let us tell you that from this year CBSE has increased the number of multiple choice questions (MCQs), while reducing the number of descriptive type questions.

CBSE 10th Exam Pattern 2024

This year, 50 percent of the questions in CBSE Board 10th class will be aptitude based, case-based questions and source based integrated questions will be asked. Apart from this, in class 10th, 20% questions will be multiple choice and 30% will be short and long answer type questions.

CBSE 12th Exam Pattern 2024

Talking about CBSE class 12th pattern, this time in class 12th, 40% questions will be aptitude based, 20% questions will be in MCQ format and 40% questions will be of short and long answer type.

No division, no percentage

From this year, CBSE has made big announcements regarding board exam pattern as well as board results. CBSE has made it clear for a few months that from now on it will not announce toppers in CBSE 10th, 12th results. From now on neither will he tell the percentage of the students, nor the over-division nor the distinction marks. CBSE said that now it will no longer divide students into first, second and third divisions on the basis of their total marks. The board said that the ‘Distinction’ category given to students scoring more than 90% marks has also been discontinued. The board will not calculate the overall percentage of marks for any student. If the percentage of 10th or 12th marks is required for higher education or employment, then it will be calculated by the admission institute or employer.
