However, regarding the CBSE 12th Board Exam 2021, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has already said that the final decision will be taken on June 12 on the Class 12th board exam.
Union education minister asks for suggestions from states on how to take exams
In a meeting with education secretaries of states and union territories on Monday 17 May, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has sought suggestions from all the states on how to conduct CBSE 12th board examinations. According to news agency PTI, the issue of class 12 board examinations came up in the discussion and suggestions were sought from the states in this regard. Officials said that a section of parents and students are demanding to cancel the CBSE 12th Board Examination and release the result with the new evaluation method.
Petition to Supreme Court to cancel and not cancel CBSE 12th board exam
Mamta Sharma Advocate had earlier filed a petition in the Supreme Court to quash the CBSE Class 12 board examination. Now a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) has been filed in the Supreme Court for not quashing the 12th board examination. A teacher from Kerala, Tony Joseph, while filing the petition, said that quashing the exam would be an unfair decision for the students. The petition states that the Class 12 board exam is an integral part of a student’s life and is extremely important for admission to higher educational institutions. It cannot be canceled. Whereas last week, another petition in the Supreme Court urged the cancellation of Class 12 board examinations conducted by the CBSE and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE). The petition, filed today by Tony Joseph in the Supreme Court, is in opposition to the previous petition filed in the Supreme Court by Mamta Sharma Advocate.
CBSE 10th-12th board examination to be held from May 4 to June 14

CBSE will take final decision on June 1
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is yet to take a final decision on the postponed Class 12 board examinations. The board exams of class 12 were postponed as part of the security measure in view of breaking the chain of corona virus and protecting students. Announcing the postponement of Class 12 examinations, the CBSE had then said that the board would review the situation on 1 June. The board has also said that the dates of the 12th board examination will be released at least 15 days before the commencement of the examination. Now the students are waiting for the new date sheet of the CBSE 12th board exam.
CBSE denied reports of cancellation of the exam
The Central Board of Secondary Education denied all media reports that the examination was then postponed due to increase in cases of corona virus infection. While there are reports from many places making such speculations that the board is going to cancel this exam. On 14 May, the Central Board of Secondary Education made it clear that no final decision has been taken to cancel the 12th board exam. CBSE said- It is clarified that no such decision has been taken in relation to the CBSE Class 12 exams. As is being speculated in some sections of the media. Any decision in this matter will be officially communicated to the general public.
Parents wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi
The parent association has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to cancel the CBSE 12th board exam. It said that the Class 12 board examination should be canceled and an alternative method should be adopted for the evaluation of students. It has been said that due to corona infection, CBSE 12th board exam is not possible in offline mode. In such a situation, students will have mental stress due to further delay in the examination. Their time will be wasted.
