CBSE i.e. Central Board of Secondary Education has planned to implement credit system in schools from the next academic session. Let us know what is the credit system, when and how will it be implemented, how will students benefit.
Under this, every student studying from class 6th to 12th will get a chance to complete their studies and increase their tendency to learn the syllabus well.
According to Bhaskar report, under the new credit system in media, students will get 40 credit points on completing at least 1200 hours. All subjects will be covered under this. Credit information will be written on the marksheet, possibly with credits mentioned next to the marks/grades.
What is credit system?
Credit system is used in the education system of developed countries. This provides many benefits to the students like being able to know how much workload the student had while studying or learning.
When will the credit system be implemented?
It has not yet been completely clarified as to when the credit system will be implemented. According to Bhaskar report, in class 9-10, five subjects including two language subjects will get 7 credits each, 2 credits for physical education and one credit for art education i.e. a total of 40 credits. Similarly, out of six subjects of class 11-12, 6-6 credits will be given for language subjects and 7-7 credits for other subjects i.e. a total of 40 credits.
