CBSE Releases Notice: Central Board of Secondary Education has issued a notice and explained the method of percentage calculation. The Board will not issue overall division or distinction.
CBSE Criteria For Calculating Percentage: The Central Board of Secondary Education has prohibited from giving overall division or distinction to students in the board examinations i.e. class 10th or 12th. He says that if the student has taken more than five subjects, then it is up to the institute or employer to decide which five subjects they consider best. CBSE will not give overall division, distinction or aggregate.
What percentage the student has got, in which subjects he has distinction and what is his division, all this will not be there in the results.
Before this there was a change in this rule also
Let us tell you that before this CBSE has also stopped releasing the merit list. Now the board has issued this notice in response to many questions in which people had asked about aggregate marks and division. The board has said that neither the total marks will be given nor the division will be mentioned from their side. Not only this, the board will not give any information about the distinction.
The company or institution should take its own decision
In this condition, if any institute or any company has to check the results of CBSE board students, then they can take a decision according to five or more subjects. If a student has taken more than five subjects, then his company or institute should decide which five subjects he wants to count as the best subjects.
What does the Controller of Examination have to say?
In this regard, CBSE Controller of Examination Sanyam Bhardwaj says that now overall division, distinction or aggregate marks will not be given in the CBSE 10th and 12th results. He said that the board will neither count the percentage nor will it be given information in the result.
Institute should do its own calculations
If percentage calculation is required for higher studies or for job, then the institute or company can do this calculation itself. The board will not give any information about this. The board has already stopped releasing the merit list.
