CBSE Rules: In the coming times, marks of 9th, 10th and 11th can play an important role in the result of class 12th. Actually, this recommendation has been made in a report prepared by NCERT’s unit PARAKH. What is said in the report?

According to the Express report, in the report submitted recently to the Ministry of Education, it has been said that the result of class 12th should be prepared on the basis of the performance of the students in class 9, 10 and 11. The report states that if the students in these three classes do well in the exam and remain in classes continuously, then they should get the benefit of it in the result of class 12th. This recommendation has been made by NCERT’s unit PARAKH. This unit was established last year. This unit is also mentioned in the new education system.

What else is said in the report?

The PARAKH report recommends measures to align the assessment of all school boards. This report states that the student’s class 9th, 10th and 11th performance should be included in the final report card of class 12th. In this report, 15% weightage of class 9th, 20 percent of class 10th and 25 percent of class 11th has been stated in the 12th result. Apart from this, the combined assessment formative assessment (holistic progress card, group discussion, project) and summative assessment (term exam) will also have weightage in the 12th report card.

There will be discussion with the state school board

According to the information, the Ministry of Education will share this report with all the state school boards. So that everyone can give their opinion on it and if everyone agrees, then this report can also be implemented soon. The recommendation has been discussed with 32 school boards over the past year, the Express reported.
