Central BAR Association Election: Uproar, sabotage and fraud in Lucknow late night counting

During the counting of votes of the Central Executive of the Central Bar Association on Thursday, supporters of some candidates started an uproar by accusing them of counting and rigging and wrong counting. Some people also vandalized during the uproar. In view of the ruckus, a heavy police force was put in place. Police officers understood the people making the commotion and calmed them down. The commotion and slogans continued till late in the night. Subsequently, DCP Paschim Devesh Pandey, ADCP Rajesh Kumar Srivastava, along with other officials of the Elder Committee, sealed the ballot boxes and sealed the room in the Central Bar Hall, along with others. Counting could not be completed due to uproar. Votes will be counted on Friday.

According to the information, Sunil Kumar Dwivedi and General Secretary Brajesh Kumar Yadav got the maximum votes among the six candidates for the post of President. His supporters cheered for the victory of both. Former Additional District Government Advocate Yatishwar Chandra, Advocate Saurabh Bhatnagar, Sumit Mishra congratulated Sunil Kumar Dwivedi, who received the highest votes for the post of President, by feeding him sweets. However, Elder Committee Chairman Gopal Narayan Mishra and Chief Electoral Officer Advocate Upendra Kumar Singh have not announced the victory of any candidate. The Chief Electoral Officer said that the counting of votes could not be completed due to the uproar. Has been postponed.




For the post of Speaker, Sunil Dwivedi and General Secretary Brajesh Kumar have got the most votes. At the same time, counting of votes was completed on the post of Senior Vice President, General Secretary and Treasurer. According to which Sunil Kumar Dwivedi was ahead of his nearest rival in the post of General Secretary and Brajesh Kumar Yadav for the presidency till the last count. Rajeev Mishra on the post of Senior Vice President while Vivek Kumar Mishra was ahead of his nearest rival in the post of Treasurer. A total of 4021 voters voted in this annual election held on Wednesday. In this election, 121 candidates were in the fray for a total of 22 posts, including President and General Secretary.
