Chandrababu Naidu Oath Ceremony in Andhra Pradesh: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu will take oath as Chief Minister in Andhra Pradesh today. He is going to take oath as Chief Minister for the fourth time. 24 other ministers will also take oath of secrecy of the post under the leadership of Naidu. Many big leaders including PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Minister JP Nadda will also attend Naidu’s swearing-in ceremony. Jana Sena Party President Pawan Kalyan will be the Deputy Chief Minister in the NDA-led government.
List of 24 ministers sent to the Governor
The list of 24 ministers released on Wednesday morning includes three ministers from Jana Sena Party and one from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The rest are from Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Chief Minister-designate Chandrababu Naidu has sent the list of ministers to Governor S Abdul Nazir. The Governor will administer the oath to Naidu and his ministers at a public ceremony at Kesarpalli IT Park near Gannavaram Airport in Vijayawada.
The Council of Ministers was finalized after the meeting with Shah-JP Nadda
The Council of Ministers includes Chandrababu Naidu’s son and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh, TDP’s Andhra Pradesh unit president K Atchannaidu and Jana Sena Party’s political affairs committee chairman Nadendla Manohar. Amit Shah and Nadda reached Hyderabad on Tuesday evening to attend the swearing-in ceremony. Naidu finalized his Council of Ministers after a meeting with Amit Shah and JP Nadda at his residence in Amaravati late Tuesday night.

BJP’s Satya Kumar Yadav will take oath as minister
On behalf of BJP, Satya Kumar Yadav will take oath as minister. Jana Sena Party has three ministers — Pawan Kalyan, Nadendla Manohar and Kandula Durgesh. There are 17 new faces in Naidu’s cabinet. The rest have been ministers before. The TDP chief has kept one post vacant. There are three women in the cabinet. Senior leader N Mohammed Farooq is the only Muslim face in the cabinet.
List of ministers prepared by balancing caste equations
The list of ministers includes eight from backward class, three from Scheduled Caste and one from Scheduled Tribe. Naidu has included four ministers each from Kamma and Kapu communities. Three from Reddy and one from Vaishya community have got place in the cabinet. Naidu himself comes from the powerful Kamma community, while Pawan Kalyan comes from Kapu community. In the elections held last month, the TDP-led alliance won 164 seats in the 175-member assembly. The TDP alone won 135 seats, while the Jana Sena Party won all 21 seats. The BJP won eight of the 10 seats. The YSRCP had 151 members in the previous assembly, which has now come down to 11.
