How does the ‘Fair Lock’ service work?
This service is available only for bookings through the Air India Express website and mobile app. Under this, the ‘Fair Lock’ fee for domestic flights is ₹ 250, while for international flights it is ₹ 500. This is a non-refundable fee.
The ‘Fare Lock’ period is 48 hours. Within this period, you must complete your booking and pay for the ticket. If you do not do so, the ‘Fare Lock’ will expire and you will have to buy the ticket again at the current rate.
