Cheaper flight tickets: You will get flight tickets at very cheap rates from this airport, check immediately before traveling

Cheaper flight tickets: Flights from Noida International Airport may get cheaper than Delhi’s IGI Airport due to reduction in fuel VAT. The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to levy only 1% VAT on fuel at Noida airport compared to 25% VAT at Delhi airport.

Noida Jewar airport: Flights taking off from Delhi Airport have to pay 25% VAT on fuel. Reduction in VAT can reduce the fares of flights. The airport in Jewar near Greater Noida has been completed. Indigo Airlines has also successfully operated a trial flight at Noida International Airport. The flight from Indira Gandhi International Airport to Jewar Airport took only 10 minutes. Now there is good news for the passengers that flights from Noida International Airport can be cheaper than Delhi Airport.

This is because fuel will be available at Noida Airport at a lower rate than Delhi Airport. Before the airport was built, an agreement was reached, under which the Uttar Pradesh government had decided to impose only 1% VAT on fuel. In contrast, flights flying from Delhi Airport have to pay 25% VAT on fuel. Flight fares are expected to be cheaper due to the reduction in VAT.

How cheap will the tickets be?

After the successful trial of Indigo Airlines at Noida Airport, aviation companies are now conducting surveys for routes. After the survey is completed, applications will be submitted and ticket prices will be announced. People are expected to get cheaper tickets due to the reduction in VAT. Airport officials have said that ticket prices can be reduced by 15-20%. The goal of building an airport in Noida near Delhi is to reduce congestion at the capital’s airport, which is why there is a plan to reduce ticket prices. Flights from Noida Airport are expected to start in April 2025.

Upon completion of the first phase in April 2025, Jewar Airport will have an annual capacity of 12 million passengers. Currently, Delhi Airport has a capacity of 73.6 million, Mumbai Airport serves 52.8 million passengers and Bengaluru Airport has a capacity of 37.5 million passengers. The total area of Jewar Airport will be 6,200 hectares and the entire airport project is expected to cost ₹30,000 crore.
