It is very difficult to get confirmed tickets on occasions like Chhath and Diwali. Meanwhile, Indian Railways has started 195 special trains from Delhi in view of Chhath festival. Special trains have been run by the Railways before this as well. Railways has started 195 special trains in 13 days from Delhi region. Due to this, there is a high possibility of those going home on the occasion of Chhath getting confirmed tickets.

Railway Board Chairman Satish Kumar visited Delhi station on Sunday. During this, he said that for the convenience of railway passengers, 195 special trains are being run in 13 days from Delhi region this year. We are running additional trains as part of the system. 70 trains are running from Delhi. Out of which 16 are special trains and 4 trains are unannounced. Through these measures, we are trying to provide facilities to the passengers.

Special trains are running from many big cities of the country

Satish Kumar further said that special arrangements have been made at all major stations including New Delhi, Anand Vihar, Ahmedabad, Surat, Baroda, Mumbai, Bandra, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Chennai and Bengaluru. So that passengers do not have to face any kind of problems. Kumar further said that we are running many trains for Bihar and Uttar Pradesh to control the crowd. On November 2, we ran more than 160 trains and on November 3, more than 170 trains have been started. Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel have been deployed to control the crowd. He said that additional coaches have been added to special trains and hundreds of CCTV cameras have been installed at stations to monitor the movement of people.

Book tickets online and offline

Kumar said that tickets can be booked both online and offline. Those who are not able to get confirmed tickets can take advantage of unreserved seats. We have stopped the unnecessary movement of passengers. Railway servants are present to help senior and disabled citizens. Please note that Chhath festival is starting from 5th November. Parana will be done on 8th November. Chhath festival is especially celebrated in Bihar, Jharkhand and Eastern Uttar Pradesh. On this occasion many people go to their villages. During this time there is a rush for tickets for travelling by train.
