Cinema Halls Rules: Court order to ban children of this age from watching late night movies?

The Telangana High Court has directed the state government to not allow children below 16 years of age to enter cinema halls after 11 pm and before 11 am. The court said that the Telangana government should make rules regarding this.

Cinema Rules: A tragic incident took place last year during the premiere of Allu Arjun’s film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theater. During the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, the crowd to see Allu Arjun went out of control. A woman died and her minor son was injured in this stampede-like situation at Sandhya Theater. After this accident, concerns were raised about the safety of the audience, especially the minors watching late night shows. After the incident, now the Telangana High Court has given a big direction regarding the issue of crowd management during film releases and late night screenings for children.

Big decision of Telangana High Court

The Telangana High Court has directed the state government and other concerned parties not to allow children below 16 years of age to watch films in theaters after 11 pm until the government takes a decision in this matter. The High Court has directed that children below the age of 16 should not be allowed to watch late night movie shows after 11 pm in theaters and multiplexes. The court’s decision came while hearing a petition related to the ticket prices of the film ‘Game Changer’. The court believes that watching movies late at night can have a bad effect on the physical and mental health of children.

The Telangana High Court has banned children from entering theatres before 11 am and after 11 pm. The decision came after the court heard petitions related to shows of ‘Pushpa 2’ and ‘Game Changer’, both of which were challenged in the court over show timings and increased ticket prices.

The court ruled that children below the age of 16 will not be allowed to attend screenings before 11 am or after 11 pm. The court has directed the authorities to strictly enforce this new order. It also said that if anyone does not follow these instructions, strict action should be taken against them. The theatre license can also be cancelled for not following the order.
