UP CM Yogi Adityanath, like last year, has made travel free in both AC and non-AC buses for the women of the state on Raksha Bandhan this year. Last year, about 3.50 lakh women traveled for free on Raksha Bandhan.
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced to make roadways bus travel free for all the women of the state on Raksha Bandhan. The free bus service will be there for 24 hours on the day of Raksha Bandhan, which will start from 12 midnight on 21st August and will run till 12 midnight of 22nd August the next day.
Orders for protection of women given to the police
There is a lot of crowd on the day of Raksha Bandhan, so the Chief Minister has ordered the police to ensure the safety of women. In the guideline issued by the government, it has been said that in view of Corona, there will be no public program on Raksha Bandhan. People have to celebrate the festival of Rakshabandhan in their own homes.
Women’s organizations requested to open sweets and rakhi shops
This time Raksha Bandhan is on Sunday and in Uttar Pradesh there is a weekend curfew on that day.
