The central government has set a target of doubling the income of farmers by 2022. Several steps are being taken to make farming easier and cost less. From plowing to farmers, tractors are used in many other works. The government claims that when farmers leave diesel tractors and use CNG tractors, they will save at least Rs 1.5 lakh annually.
In fact, on 12 February, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari lifted the curtain from the CNG tractor. He enumerated many advantages of CNG tractors. The government claims that the CNG tractor will also help farmers to improve their livelihood. Maintenance of retrofitted CNG tractor will cost much less than a diesel tractor, and will save a lot in fuel.

1. According to Nitin Gadkari’s claim, every year a farmer spends 3 lakh to 3.5 lakh rupees on diesel. In such a situation, by using a CNG tractor, he can save up to Rs 1.5 lakh annually. Because this will significantly reduce the cost of fuel. Nitin Gadkari said that the CNG kit will be made under Make in India.
2. Straw is a big problem in the country. But the government says that farmers’ income is also hidden in this. Production of Bio-CNG is possible from Parali, and by this, farmers can earn money by selling units of Bio CNG Products. This tractor has been built in partnership with Rovamet Techno Solutions and Tomaseto Ashil India.
3. CNG tractors can be controlled to contain the highest pollution. Some states cultivate on a large scale. Where tractors have been running day and night in the fields. Due to the diesel engine, pollution is also more there. CNG-powered tractors can cause a huge drop in pollution levels. CNG reduces carbon emissions by 70 percent compared to diesel.
4. Maintenance of CNG tractor will cost much less than a diesel tractor. Due to carbon dioxide in diesel tractors, there are many problems, which farmers have to spend big amount of money over and over again. But such problem will not come in CNG tractor.
5. The biggest thing is that the life of the retrofitted CNG tractor will be more than the diesel engine tractor. That is, if farmers buy CNG tractors, then they will support them for more days than diesel tractors. In such a situation, the life of the tractor will increase and farmers will be able to save big.
Another important thing will be the need of diesel to start this CNG tractor, that is, the tractor will also have diesel engines. But after starting, the fuel source of the tractor will be changed to CNG, so that farmers will be able to reduce their farming expenses.
