In the Polaris Dawn mission, four people have gone to space in the Dragon Crew Capsule. The names of these passengers are Commander Jared Isaacman, Pilot Scott ‘Kid’ Poteet, Mission Specialist Sarah Gillis and Anna Menon. Isaacman is a rich entrepreneur. He is also funding this mission.

Poteet is a former lieutenant colonel of the US Air Force. Both Gillis and Menon are SpaceX engineers. Isaacman and Gillis did a private spacewalk for the first time. At this time the height of the Dragon capsule was about 737 kilometers. This is the highest crew mission since the Apollo era. This is because this mission reached a height of 1400 kilometers. Poteet, Gillis and Menon have gone to space for the first time. Isaacman went to space in the Inspiration 4 mission in September 2021.

The launch of this mission was postponed three times

The launch of the Polaris Dawn mission was to take place on August 26. Which was postponed after a problem was found in the pre-flight checkup. Then the launch of August 27 was postponed due to helium leak. The plan was made on 28th but the weather did not cooperate. SpaceX wrote on its X handle that the weather is not good where the Dragon spacecraft will fall in the ocean around Florida. Therefore the launch was postponed. SpaceX launched Polaris Dawn on 10 September 2024. The launch was done from Cape Canaveral. The help of Falcon-9 rocket was taken in this.
