The central government has warned about the kappa variant of the corona virus. The Center says it cannot be ignored and needs attention. NITI Aayog Member (Health) VK Paul said during the Health Ministry’s press briefing on Friday that this is not a new variant, it was also identified at the time of Delta variant, but its prevalence is very less.
What precautions should be taken by corona patients at home?
He said that during the second wave, along with the delta variant, the kappa variant was also detected. It has significantly less power as compared to the Delta variant. He said that this variant was identified at the time of February-March. VK Paul further said that if its cases are coming up then it means it is present in the country.
We are constantly monitoring this. Let us inform that so far two cases of Kappa variant have been reported in Uttar Pradesh. Dr Paul concluded, “We need to keep an eye on the scientific implications of kappa variants and vaccine immunity.”

How to protect against Kappa variants

Along with this, follow physical distance. There is a need to take special care of cleanliness in the corona epidemic. Apart from this, pay special attention to strengthening the immune system.
