Corona: poor families will get ration for free for 2 months, Central Government announced

Under this decision, now ration card holders will be able to get 5 kg more rice / wheat per person in the months of May and June. 80 crore beneficiaries will be benefited by this decision.


New Delhi: In view of the second wave of Corona virus (Central Government), the Central Government has made a big decision and once again announced to give free ration to poor families. Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PM Gareeb Kalyan Ann Yojana), now ration card holders will be able to take 5 kg more rice-wheat per person in the month of May and June.

80 crore people will get benefits

Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted, “ In view of the increasing impact of Corona, I congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the decision to provide 5 kg of food grains for two months under the Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Yojana from Rs 26,000 crore. This will benefit about 80 crore people of the country. Modi government is standing with the countrymen every step in this disaster.

States demanded economic package


PM Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) has made this announcement at a time when many states are demanding an economic package from the central government. In the meeting held with the states on Friday, many Chief Ministers had placed this demand in front of Kandra. He said that strict restrictions have been implemented to protect against Corona. Due to which the economy has been damaged and people are beginning to face hunger crisis. Due to this, the center has announced free ration today.
