The lockdown, which took place on 15 March in Nagpur, was in effect till 21 March. After this, on Saturday, that is, today, it has been increased till 31 March. Only emergency services are exempted from lockdown. To overcome the coronavirus, the Maharashtra government had already imposed several restrictions, under which political, religious and social programs are completely banned.
Lockdown is not a solution: Devendra Fadnavis
Apart from this, night curfew has been imposed in many districts of the state and weekend lockdown has been imposed in many places. According to Health Department data, 3,235 new cases have been reported in Nagpur on Friday. On the other hand, Nagpur Minister Nitin Raut called a meeting on Saturday. In the meeting, BJP leader and former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the lockdown is not a measure but we will cooperate in implementing the decision that the administration will take.
