According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday, 24,882 new cases of corona infection have been reported in India in the last 24 hours, which is the highest this year. Earlier on Friday, 23,285 cases of corona were reported. With this, the number of infection cases in the country has increased to 1,13,33,728.
In the last 24 hours, 140 people have died due to corona in the country, due to which the number of deaths due to infection in the country has risen to 1,58,446. Currently, the number of active cases in India has increased to 2,02,022. Meanwhile, 19,957 people have recovered from Corona in one day in the country and 1,09,73,260 people have been cured from Corona so far. The country’s recovery rate has fallen to 96.82 percent. Meanwhile, daily cases of corona infection have steadily increased in Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Karnataka.
Concern of second wave of Corona in the country

Maharashtra and Kerala contribute 71.69 percent of India’s total active cases. As of Friday, the number of active cases in Maharashtra has gone up to 1,10,485. If you look at the figures, in the last just 5 days, about one lakh new corona cases have been reported.
Vaccination also increased
With this, the world’s largest vaccination campaign (Corona vaccination) to deal with corona in the country has also increased. So far 2,82,18,457 people have been vaccinated with Corona in India. According to the Union Health Ministry, a total of 20,53,537 doses of the vaccine have been given in the last 24 hours. The country’s vaccination campaign against the corona epidemic was started on 16 January, in which health workers were vaccinated with the corona and then the vaccination of frontline workers began on 2 February.
