COVID-19: FICCI wrote to Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank demanding cancellation of 12th class exams

FICCI (FICCI) has demanded the Central Government to cancel the Class XII examinations in view of the current status of COVID-19.

The industry body Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry i.e. FICCI (FICCI) asked the Central Government to cancel the class XII examinations and evaluate the students of class XII by alternative method in view of the current status of COVID-19 (COVID-19) by July. FICCI President Uday Shankar wrote in a letter to HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank that an alternative solution should be devised to determine educational progress. He said that students who enroll in higher education institutions will be affected by the delay in examinations and students who aim to get higher education abroad will also be affected.

There is no necessary infrastructure in the country for online exams

He said, “The number of new cases of Corona is still quite high. In such a situation, it is not appropriate for students to conduct examinations and there is not necessary infrastructure in the country for online examinations. Most important, students will be stuck in crisis due to delays in examinations. FICCI demands the cancellation of Class XII examinations. ”The FICCI President said that foreign universities will no longer relax their deadlines to accommodate delayed examinations. Due to this, the students getting admission in those universities will be hindered in the process. He said that it is necessary that the evaluation process of class XII should be completed by the middle of July so that the path of higher education opens up for all students.
