Case registered in Jaipur Police Commissionerate’s Special Crime and Cybercrime Police Station
Cyber criminals first got an FD of 23 lakh from the bank account of an elderly person from Karni Vihar area. Then called for OTP. The elder refused to tell. This saved the huge amount from drowning. On Saturday, Raghavendra Singh, resident of Rangoli Garden, has filed a report in the Special Crime and Cybercrime Police Station of the Commissionerate.
The investigation of the case has been handed over to Inspector Satyapal Singh. Cyber station in-charge Satyapal Yadav, who is investigating the case, said that the thugs make FDs of money deposited in people’s accounts through different apps. After that, by pretending to send the money back to the victim, by taking the information of the account, by breaking the FD, they cheat. Thankfully, in this case, the victim did not tell the miscreants OTP. Now the case is being investigated on the basis of call details and transaction details.
