Due to the sea surface temperature and Madden Julian Oscillation (MJO), the birth of this storm in the area seems to be getting stronger. It has already started. Cyclonic circulations are taking place.
According to the Meteorological Department, cyclonic circulation will start accumulating in the North Andaman Sea around October 20. Slowly it will move towards the coast of Odisha. It is also possible that a similar situation may develop in the Arabian Sea during this time. Cyclonic disturbance may occur there too. The time frame is also likely to be almost the same.
The Meteorological Department has forbidden fishermen and naval personnel from going into the sea.
