DA Hike Meghalaya: Now only a few days are left for the year 2023 to end and people are busy preparing for Christmas and New Year. In such a situation, the Meghalaya government has given another big reason to its employees to celebrate. Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Wednesday announced early release of December salaries for 55,000 government employees and a three percent increase in dearness allowance.
The Chief Minister wrote on x, “Christmas greetings to our team of 55,000 government employees in the state. We are happy to announce that the December salaries are being released early. Also, there will be a three percent increase in DA. The increase has been approved.”

The Chief Minister also shared an office memorandum of the Finance Department, in which the Governor has decided to increase the dearness allowance for employees and pensioners from the current 36 percent to 39 percent from July 1.
