Diwali Gift: The central government approved a 3 percent increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief in the cabinet meeting on Wednesday. Before Diwali, the government has increased the DA to 53 percent, which was 50 percent.
Diwali Gift: In the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief of central employees and pensioners have been increased by 3 percent. Dearness Allowance has increased to 53 percent before Diwali in the festive season. After the relief given to the central government employees, now DA hike has been decided in 5 states as well. Employees and pensioners in these states have also got Diwali gift.
Chhattisgarh
State Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that we are going to increase dearness allowance by 4 percent. Now dearness allowance in the state has increased to 50 percent. Till now it was 46 percent. This decision will be considered effective from October 1.
Odisha
The state government has also announced an increase of 4 per cent in dearness allowance. The decision of the state government will be considered effective from January 1, 2024. The government has also issued an official notification in this regard.
Himachal Pradesh
The Chief Minister of the state Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had given the festive season gift to the employees and pensioners even before Dussehra. It has been announced to increase dearness allowance by 4 per cent in the state from January 1, 2023. Due to this, arrears will also be given to the employees and pensioners. Along with this, an order has been issued to clear the medical bills of all government employees and pensioners above 75 years of age.
Sikkim
The government had increased the DA from 46 per cent to 50 per cent during the Durga Puja festival. This decision will be considered effective from January 1, 2024. Pensioners will also benefit from this. Employees working on contract will also come under its purview.
Jharkhand
The state government has approved increasing the DA of its employees by 9 percent. Currently, 230 percent DA is being given in the state as per the Sixth Pay Commission, which will now increase to 239 percent. This decision will be considered effective from January 1, 2024.
