DA Hike: Central government employees likely to get hike in DA and DR in this month, Salary will increase by Rs 99,360 annually

Dearness allowance is extended twice a year in January and July. The last hike was announced in March 2023, which became effective from January 1, 2023. In the hike, DA was increased by 4 per cent to 42 per cent.

Central employees are being given 42 percent dearness allowance. According to new reports, a 4 percent increase in dearness allowance can be announced by the central government from July 1, after which the DA will increase to 46 percent. DA and DR may increase by 4 percent

Dearness allowance is given to government employees, while dearness relief is given to pensioners. According to official figures, there are 47.58 lakh central government employees and 69.76 lakh pensioners who will benefit from the upcoming DA hike. According to AICPI, there can be an increase of 3 to 4 percent in the salary of the employees. However, it will also depend on the figures of May-June, which if good, can increase 4 percent dearness allowance and dearness relief.

Understand salary calculation like this

If an employee gets a salary of Rs 20,000 per month, then according to 42% DA, it becomes Rs 8,400. At the same time, DA will be Rs 9,200 according to 46 percent. In this way, there will be an increase of Rs 720 in salary every month and Rs 99,360 annually.
