In a circular issued by the Controller of Accounts cum Secretary, Finance Department, it was said that the state government has increased the dearness allowance of employees and dearness relief to pensioners receiving salary under the revised basic pay structure from the existing 50 percent to 53 percent from July 1, 2024.
The DR of people receiving pension under the old pay structure has been increased from 239 percent to 246 percent. This change will also be effective from July 1, 2024. Dearness allowance was increased by 4% in October
Earlier in October 2024, the state government had increased the dearness allowance (DA) of employees by 4% from January 2024, after which DA increased from 46% to 50%. Its benefit was available to those receiving revised salary in the regular pay scale of the state government, employees appointed on contract and workload establishments.
