DA Hike: Dearness allowance of employees increased by 3%, salary will be credited to their account from April

After Tripura, now the Sikkim government has given a gift to its employees and pensioners by increasing Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) by 3 percent, the new rates will be applicable from July 2024.

DA Hike 2025: There is good news for the government employees and pensioners of Sikkim. The Prem Singh Tamang government of the state has given a big gift to the state employees and pensioners before Chaitra Navratri and Eid. The Sikkim government has increased the dearness allowance (DA) of its employees by 3%.

The Sikkim government has increased the dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief (DR) for state government employees and pensioners by 3 percent, after which DA/DR has increased from 50 to 53 percent. The new rates will be applicable from July 1, 2024, in such a situation, the outstanding arrears from July 2024 to February 2025 will be available.

What is written in the order of the Finance Department

In a circular issued by the Controller of Accounts cum Secretary, Finance Department, it was said that the state government has increased the dearness allowance of employees and dearness relief to pensioners receiving salary under the revised basic pay structure from the existing 50 percent to 53 percent from July 1, 2024.

The DR of people receiving pension under the old pay structure has been increased from 239 percent to 246 percent. This change will also be effective from July 1, 2024. The dearness allowance of employees and the DR of pensioners receiving pension under the pay structure before the revised basic pay scale will be increased from the existing 239 percent to 246 percent and it will be effective from July 1, 2024.

Dearness allowance was increased by 4% in October

Earlier in October 2024, the state government had increased the dearness allowance (DA) of employees by 4% from January 2024, after which DA increased from 46% to 50%. Its benefit was available to those receiving revised salary in the regular pay scale of the state government, employees appointed on contract and workload establishments.
