More than 1 lakh employees will benefit
Announcing this in the Assembly, Saha said that this decision will benefit 1,06,932 employees and 82,000 pensioners of the state.
Today at the budget session, I announced another 5 percent Dearness Allowance to the State Government Employees. This decision will be effective from 01.01.2024. The additional annual expenditure for this will be ₹ 500 crores.

Increase in DA will be implemented from January 1
This increase in dearness allowance will be effective from January 1. Saha said that after this increase, the dearness allowance given to state government employees and pensioners will increase to 25 percent. This will require funding of Rs 500 crore.
