Himachal Pradesh Budget DA Hike: Himachal Pradesh CM and Finance Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu presented a budget of Rs 58,444 crore. CM Sukhu, who is holding the portfolio of Finance Ministry, has given a big gift to the state government employees and pensioners in the budget speech. Himachal Pradesh CM has announced a four percent increase in dearness allowance. Not only this, CM Sukhu has also made a big announcement on LTC. It is noteworthy that after the formation of the government in Himachal Pradesh, CM Sukhu had once again implemented the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).

Dearness allowance will increase by four percent from April 1, announcement regarding dues also made

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday announced four percent dearness allowance (Himachal Pradesh DA Hike) for the employees. In his budget speech, CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said, ‘I announce that from April 1, 2024, the installment of dearness allowance will be released at the rate of four percent. About Rs 580 crore will be spent on this every year. Payment of dues related to all employees and pensioners and pension will be started in a phased manner from March 01, 2024. ,

Government employees will get LTC twice during their service period.

CM Sukhu said in his budget speech, ‘The dues related to leave encashment and graduation of the employees retired between 01 January 2016 to 31 December 2021 will be paid in a phased manner from 01 March 2024.’ CM Sukhu also made a big announcement related to LTC of state employees. In the budget speech, CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said, ‘Till now the employees of the state could take LTC only once at the end of their service period. I am happy to announce that after April 01, 2024, the employees of the state can avail the facility of LTC at least twice during their service period.

1,15,000 employees got the benefit of old pension

Himachal CM said that as soon as his government took charge, the old pension scheme was restored. According to CM, “A total of 1,15,000 employees have already opted for OPS. All the employees who have joined OPS have received General Provident Fund (GPF) membership. About 5,000 employees who have shifted from NPS to OPS have been issued pay and pension orders (PPO) as per OPS after retirement.
