Department of Personnel and Training issued a circular on Thursday, July 4, 2024, saying that several allowances of central employees can be paid at increased rates of 25% over the existing rates from 01.01.2024.
New Delhi: The dearness allowance of the employees working under the central government was increased by 4 percent in March this year, after which their DA has increased to 50 percent. Similarly, the dearness relief (DR) of the central government pensioners has also been increased by 4 percent to 50 percent, after which central employees and pensioners have got a big relief from inflation. Apart from this, 8 allowances of the employees have also increased. Due to which their salary and pension of retired personnel have increased.

The Department of Personnel and Training issued a circular on Thursday, July 4, 2024, saying, “Attention is invited to the following orders issued recently by the Department of Expenditure/DoPT and it is requested that as a result of increase in Dearness Allowance by 4% to 50% from 01.01.2024, the following allowances may be paid at increased rates of 25% over the existing rates from 01.01.2024.”

Appeal to PM Modi to release 18 months DA arrears
Let us tell you that Shiv Gopal Mishra, Secretary, Joint Consultative Mechanism, National Council (Staff Side) for Central Government Employees has appealed to the Central Government to release the arrears of DA of 18 months withheld during the Corona epidemic.
