After the cabinet meeting, the government can announce dearness allowance. Tomorrow morning there is a cabinet meeting at 10:30. After that the government can announce an increase in DA. The government can give a gift of dearness allowance to central employees before Diwali. Modi government can increase dearness allowance (DA) by 3 to 4 percent. Currently, government employees get 50 percent dearness allowance. If DA increases, dearness allowance can be 53 or 54 percent. Although the government will announce the increase in DA in October, but it will be considered effective only from July 1. 3 months’ DA arrears will come in the October salary. Along with this, Diwali bonus will also come.
DA of central employees will increase to 54%
The government can increase DA from 50% to 54%. This year in March 2024 also, the government had increased the DA by 4%, after which the DA became 50%. DA is reviewed every six months. Whenever the announcement is made, it is considered to be implemented from 1 January and 1 October.
Salary of central employees will increase by this much
Dearness allowance is an important part for employees and pensioners, which is based on the average of All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI). If there is a 3% increase this time, then those whose basic salary is ₹ 18,000. They will get monthly DA increased from ₹ 9,000 to ₹ 9,540. If there is a 4% increase, it can reach ₹ 9,720.
