The rate of dearness allowance has been fixed for board level and below board level officer employees. For this, an office memorandum has been issued by CIL. Employees will be paid dearness allowance at the rate of 43.8%.
CIL Employees DA Hike: On one hand, the employees receiving sixth and seventh pay scale are looking forward to increase in dearness allowance. On the other hand, Coal India has issued orders to increase dearness allowance for its board level and below board level officers.
DA increase
Under the order issued by CIL, their dearness allowance has been increased to 43.8% from October 1, 2023. Issuing an office memorandum, Coal India Limited said that as per Pay Revision 2017, dated August 8, 2018, dearness allowance is being paid from October 1 on the basis of price increase above the quarterly index average of 277.33 points.

Earlier, as per the order issued by the Under Secretary to the Government of India, the dearness allowance for officer employees below the board levels of CPSEs was increased. His dearness allowance was increased to 43.8 percent. After which now the rate of dearness allowance for board level employees of Coal India Limited and below them will be 43.8 percent from October 1. The rate of their dearness allowance has been released till December.
Will be applicable in case of IDA employees
The amount of 43.8 percent of dearness allowance will be applicable in the case of IDA employees. In such a situation, those employees who are being given the benefit of the revised pay scale of 2017. They will be provided dearness allowance at the rate of 43.8 percent. After the release of the office memorandum by Coal India Limited, now along with the salary received in November, dearness allowance at the rate of 43% will also be paid to the employees. With which their dearness allowance salary amount can increase up to Rs 20000.
