At present, the employees of Karnataka government get 27.25 percent dearness allowance of their basic salary, which has increased to 31 percent. After this decision taken by the government, there will be a burden of Rs 1,282.72 crore on the exchequer.

The Chief Minister’s Office has tweeted that Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has approved the proposal of 3.75% increase in Dearness Allowance of government employees and retired employees with effect from July 1, 2022. This will put a burden of Rs 1,282.72 crore on the state exchequer.

Dearness Allowance hiked by 4 percent

The DA of central government employees and pensioners has been increased by 4 percent. That is, from this month employees will get increased salary. Along with this, an increase in HRA can also be announced soon. Earlier, the HRA was increased in July last year. Then the DA was also increased to 28 percent. Now that the DA has become 38 percent, then the HRA can also be amended.
